WITTGENSTEIN AND THE ETHICAL PERSPECTIVE OF THE TRACTATUS LOGICO-PHILOSOPHICUS
Keywords:
Ethics, value, absolute, subject, limit, proposition, language.Abstract
The main objective of this text is to emphasize the ethical reading of the Tractatus on the basis of recommendations made by Wittgenstein in his correspondence. In order to achieve this goal, some early references to ethics in Wittgenstein’s work are analyzed. Then it is specified in what way Wittgenstein understands ethics with its most important characteristics and the impossibility of its enunciation. The ethical purpose of the Tractatus is also specified and some ethical readings are presented in a general way. As a whole, the aim is to highlight that, although there is an epistemic and logical reading of the Tractatus, the ethical reading is current and relevant.
