Abstract

Allama Iqbal, due to his distinguished poetry, became the National Poet of Pakistan. Amongst many other leaders and culture Iqbal has written about environment and the leaders of Pashtoon. Although Iqbal has least understanding of Pashto language but he had read about Pashtoon and their environment written in other languages known to him. He had studied the literature written by Pashto Poets in Persian and was mesmerized by their work. Iqbal has mentioned about the Khushal Khan Khattak and his influential poetry. He has written at different places about the life, living styles, and environment of Pashtuns. This study aims at analyzing the poetry of Iqbal specifically written about the /Afghan environment and the way the live.
