IMPACT OF STRESS ON JOB ENGAGEMENT: THE ROLE OF STRESS MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES OF NURSES IN TIRUPATI DISTRICT
Abstract
This study examines the impact of workplace stress on job engagement among nurses in Tirupati District, with a focus on the role of stress management strategies. A quantitative research design was adopted, and primary data were collected from 250 nurses using a structured questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale. Statistical tools such as descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression analysis were employed. The findings reveal that workplace stress has a significant negative effect on job engagement, while stress management strategies positively influence engagement and help reduce the adverse effects of stress. The study highlights the importance of implementing effective stress management practices and supportive organizational policies to enhance nurse well-being, improve job engagement, and ensure better healthcare outcomes.
