Abstract

This paper proposes an implementation framework for the Digital Memory Jar initiative through public-private partnership (PPP) models, based on qualitative research with key stakeholders in Japan's aging care ecosystem. Drawing on interviews with elderly caregivers, public welfare officials, and digital technology experts, the study confirms the critical importance of digital memory preservation for maintaining elder dignity while identifying the necessity of governmental leadership in developing prototype applications. The framework transforms older adults from passive service recipients into active wisdom providers, sustaining their IKIGAI while strengthening intergenerational solidarity through PPP models that leverage governmental legitimacy alongside private sector innovation.
